Telehealth neurologist for southern NSW and the Riverina

A neurologist by video from your own home across the border region, with EEG available in Albury.

Patients in the Riverina and the border region often face long trips to Sydney or Melbourne for neurology. We see patients from across southern New South Wales by video, and run an EEG clinic in Albury.

Where our southern NSW patients come from

Albury-Wodonga, Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Leeton, Narrandera, Deniliquin, Corowa, Tumut, Cootamundra and the towns in between. If you live in southern New South Wales, we can see you.

What a telehealth appointment involves

  • A referral from your GP, sent to us by Healthlink, fax, email or our online form
  • A video link sent to you by email or SMS. Nothing to download, any phone, tablet or computer works
  • A full consultation with a neurologist, with a letter back to your GP within a week
  • Medicare rebates apply with a valid referral

Some things cannot be done by video, such as a detailed neurological examination or an EEG. If you need them, we will arrange them at the nearest suitable site and explain the travel assistance available.

EEG in Albury

Routine and sleep-deprived EEG are performed at our Albury clinic at Gardens Medical, with a GP referral and no neurology appointment needed first. Home video-EEG is set up at Box Hill. New South Wales residents who need to travel may be eligible for IPTAAS.

Appointments and referrals

To claim a Medicare rebate you need a current referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or another specialist (valid for 3 months). Your doctor can send the referral by Healthlink, fax, email or our online referral form. Out-of-pocket fees may apply. Please contact our rooms for current fee information.
