Neurologist for Bairnsdale and East Gippsland

Patients in Bairnsdale and East Gippsland can see our neurologists by telehealth at any time. We also hold in-person clinics at The Centre in Bairnsdale from time to time, rather than on a fixed schedule.

How it works

• Telehealth, any time. A video consultation with a neurologist from home, with a Medicare rebate. See how telehealth works.
• In person, occasionally. When a Bairnsdale clinic is scheduled, our rooms will offer you an appointment there. Please tell us if you would prefer to wait for an in-person visit.
• EEG and home video-EEG are set up at our Box Hill clinic. Travel assistance may be available (below).

Travel assistance

If you need to travel more than 100km for a specialist appointment or home video-EEG, you may be eligible for the Victorian Patient Transport Assistance Scheme (VPTAS). Our specialist will complete the clinician section of the claim form.

Appointments and referrals

To claim a Medicare rebate you need a current referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or another specialist (valid for 3 months). Your doctor can send the referral by Healthlink, fax, email or our online referral form. Out-of-pocket fees may apply. Please contact our rooms for current fee information.
