Assessment of any neurological symptom by a consultant neurologist, in Box Hill and by telehealth.
Not every neurological problem fits a named clinic. Our neurologists see the full range of symptoms a GP might refer: the aim of the first visit is a clear diagnosis, or a clear plan to reach one.
A first appointment usually takes 45 to 60 minutes. Your neurologist will take a detailed history, examine you, review any tests you have had and arrange further investigation where it will change management. Tests such as EEG are done on site at Box Hill, and nerve conduction studies and EMG are coming soon. A letter goes to your GP within a week.
All of our neurologists are Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and hold appointments at major Melbourne hospitals. Between them they cover general neurology, epilepsy, headache, neuroimmunology, stroke and cognitive neurology. See our team for current interests.
To claim a Medicare rebate you need a current referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or another specialist (valid for 3 months).
