Epilepsy Clinic

Diagnosis and ongoing care for people with epilepsy and seizure disorders, in clinic and by telehealth Australia-wide.

Epilepsy Network Australia is a neurology service focused on seizures and epilepsy. Our aim is simple: an accurate diagnosis, the right treatment, and care that is easy to reach wherever you live.

How we can help

  • Diagnosis after a first seizure or suspected seizure
  • Confirming the type of epilepsy, which guides the choice of treatment
  • Medication review and optimisation, including side effects
  • Review when seizures continue despite treatment
  • Driving assessments and medical reports
  • EEG and home video-EEG recording

Getting the diagnosis right

Epilepsy is diagnosed mainly from a careful description of what happens during an event, supported by tests such as EEG and brain imaging. Some conditions can look like epilepsy, including fainting and functional seizures. When the diagnosis is uncertain, recording a typical event with home video-EEG is often the most useful step.

Our team

Our neurologists have completed fellowship training in epilepsy and hold appointments at major Melbourne hospitals. Our team is also involved in epilepsy research.

Where we see patients

We consult at Box Hill and by telehealth for patients anywhere in Australia. EEG is also available in Albury and Bendigo.
