A neurologist by video from your own home, anywhere in Victoria, with EEG available in Bendigo, Albury and Box Hill.
Most of regional Victoria has no resident neurologist, and waits for a city appointment can run to months. We see patients from across the state by video, usually within weeks, and sooner after a first seizure.
Our telehealth patients come from Gippsland (Sale, Traralgon, Bairnsdale), the Hume region (Shepparton, Wangaratta, Wodonga), the Loddon Mallee (Bendigo, Echuca, Swan Hill, Mildura), the Grampians (Ballarat, Horsham, Ararat) and the south-west (Geelong, Warrnambool, Hamilton), as well as the Mornington Peninsula and the Surf Coast. If you live in Victoria, we can see you.
Some things cannot be done by video, such as a detailed neurological examination or an EEG. If you need them, we will arrange them at the nearest suitable site and explain the travel assistance available.
Routine and sleep-deprived EEG are available in Bendigo and Albury, with a GP referral and no neurology appointment needed first. Prolonged, ambulatory and home video-EEG are set up at Box Hill. The VPTAS scheme can help with travel and accommodation if you need to come to Melbourne.
To claim a Medicare rebate you need a current referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or another specialist (valid for 3 months). Your doctor can send the referral by Healthlink, fax, email or our online referral form. Out-of-pocket fees may apply. Please contact our rooms for current fee information.
