Synthesis Neurology and Epilepsy Network Australia consult from Epworth Eastern in Box Hill. Most of our Melbourne patients come from the eastern and south-eastern suburbs, and many only need to travel once: the first visit and any EEG happen in Box Hill, and follow-up can be by telehealth.

Getting to Box Hill

• Inner east (Blackburn, Burwood, Balwyn, Camberwell, Doncaster, Surrey Hills, Mont Albert): 5 to 15 minutes by car. Box Hill station is on the Lilydale and Belgrave lines, a 10 minute walk from Epworth Eastern.
• Outer east (Ringwood, Mitcham, Croydon, Wantirna, Lilydale): 15 to 30 minutes via Whitehorse Road or the Eastern Freeway, or by train on the Lilydale and Belgrave lines.
• South-east (Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Clayton, Oakleigh, Springvale): 15 to 25 minutes via Springvale Road or Middleborough Road.
• Outer south-east (Dandenong, Berwick, Narre Warren, Cranbourne, Pakenham): 30 to 50 minutes via EastLink. Telehealth follow-up saves the second trip.
• Bayside and Peninsula (Cheltenham, Frankston, Mornington): 35 to 55 minutes via EastLink or the Nepean Highway.

Patient parking is available at Epworth Eastern; please allow time to park. Our rooms are Suite 14.4 on Level 14 of the East Wing Tower.

What we see

Appointments and referrals

To claim a Medicare rebate you need a current referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or another specialist (valid for 3 months).
